I’m back in glorious Totton now, at my Mums for Christmas. Been Christmas shopping and trying to find things to buy for people like the rest of the 2 or 3 people who read this.

I saw today that Totton have got new decorations. That was a shock, they’ve been these big hideous stars on the side of buildings for years, for as long as I can remember. Now though, they’re smaller stars, with “whooshing” areas underneath. I’m not even sure if that makes sense.

Unfortunately I haven’t really been keeping up with taking pictures of all the drinks I’ve had, I’ve had about twice as many drinks as I photo. So it hasn’t been a very good record of what I drink, but it still might look cool as a picture. I’ll keep going until the end of Christmas and see what happens I guess.

Anyway, I better start wrapping up presents now.

Hope you have a good Christmas! :)

An idea

12/12/2009

A few nights ago I opened a can a coke. As I do most nights. I took a photo and uploaded it to Twitter, then between me and a friend, we’ve sent pictures to each other of every can we’ve opened. I was in the pub last night and I was telling another friend about this. And he said, it would make a pretty cool photo montage.

So I’ve decided to take a photo of every drink I have, and get the all together. It’s also a good way to see what I drink.

I’ve already forgotten a few drinks I’ve had today. But going to see how long this will go for. I guess over Christmas.

So far I have this;

Assignments

08/12/2009

Are Done.

My first Flash assignment that I will get marks for and everything. I finished several times. But I kept going through it and adding more things to make it run smoother, with some more subtle animations, and I added some hidden buttons to make it more intuitive.

You can find the final piece here

(http://www.esnips.com/doc/3006c926-cd75-42cb-9803-d4efb41e100b/El-Lisstizky-FINAL)

The video assignment is being handed in tomorrow.

This was a lot more fun than the flash, from writing the story, and thinking of shot ideas, to filming, and then editing.

We had a lot of issues with this, first of all our original actors dropped out, so we needed to change our story. Luckily my Girlfriend volunteered herself, and did it for us, which was an unbelievably big help. So we changed our story to fit without a child, instead we used a boyfriend. Although this was my idea, I had to be in it, which I’m not too pleased about, because I can’t act. And watching myself is incredibly cringey. That being said here’s the video…

Sam did the editing on this one. Which I think is the best bit about it.

I downloaded the wordpress app for my iPhone, which I might be a little bit obsessed with. Lol.

It’s a pretty useful app to have to blog on the go, although that isn’t something I need. To be honest I downloaded just because I can, like 99% of the rest of my apps.
I’m proper chuffed that I’ve got an iPhone and I’ve found it useful so many times already. The around me app is good. Obviously twitterific is brilliant and my girlfriend loves the bubble wrap game.

Mountain Bike

27/11/2009

I really miss mountain biking. Today is the first time in weeks that I finally managed to get back on my bike, and that was only round the block :(

A few weeks ago I got a flat tyre, and I couldn’t fix it because it had split where the valve meets the inner-tube. I couldn’t get a new inner-tube due to a lack of funds. Well today I got one. I’ve cleaned and fixed my bike as well as Winter proofed it.

I’ve been missing getting out on my bike. I haven’t been out properly for a couple of months now, due to Uni, the shit weather and to be honest, a lack of motivation. When I get some free time, and the weather clears for a day I might try and get down to Studland. But I reckon by the time I get the chance to I’ll be back in Southampton for Christmas, which does mean I might be able to go up to Bracknell with my Dad. What I really want to do is go back to Wales. That was one of the best weekends I’ve had. Was hoping to go this Summer. But unfortunately my Dad had to go in for an operation in May and was out of action all Summer, so we didn’t get go to far from home, or do anything to hardcore. That and I can’t drive anywhere and I rely on him to get away any where. Saying that though, could get a train up to Cardiff. Hmm…

Filmed today for our Alone Assignment. Tuesday we did the outside scenes with me and Hannah in them. But when I was filming, it was really windy. We wanted some footage on the beach, and Bournemouth pier. But the wind, rain, and the spray from the sea became pretty dodgy for the keeping the camera rolling.

Here are some photos from today’s filming;
