Digital Design & Avatar

31/01/2010

Went to London for Digital Design gallery at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

It was pretty cool, had some interactive digital art -

here’s some pictures (went to the Natural History Museum for like 15 minutes as well)

While I was there I was lucky enough to see Avatar in the IMAX by Waterloo. Apparently it’s the second biggest screen in Britain after Nick Poskitt‘s. OMG it was huge. When we walked in the first thing I said was imagine CoD on that. Yeah imma geek. Unfortunately due to the fact that it sells out so fast we were sat pretty close to it, so I spent most of the time with my mouth open looking up.

The 3D experience was phenomenal, I’ve never scene anything (in film) like it. It’s that same feeling you get when you first see a film in HD. That Woah that is good feeling. I’d love to see it again in 2D and a smaller screen, just so I can relax a bit, I spent the whole time with my mouth open in awe and trying to concentrate on the many creatures and parts of the world flying past my head.
